How to Improve Your Focus by Eliminating Distractions

When focusing on something important you might want to eliminate all the possible distractions that might cause you to lose track of your focus or interrupt your train of thought. Listening to music is something we all love but according to science it can be as distracting as having a conversation with someone, so if you need silence in order for you to stay focused then don’t feel guilty about turning off the music! You might think that social media is the best way to stay in touch with your friends, but it can be a huge distraction if you check tweets, facebook or your personal email constantly.

In our high-paced society multitasking is regarded as a positive thing but in reality, in order for us to achieve the highest level of cognitive function, we need to focus on one single task at a time. That’s why before starting something important ask yourself, “Is this really that important?”. If you need to, block your access to these kinds of distractions by using an app like StayFocusd for Google Chrome or  SelfControl for Mac OS X.

Also,  make sure that you check your phone at least  10 minutes before your start a task in order to be able to fully focus on it.  Setting up a “phone-free” area can significantly improve your productivity at work or home.

Nowadays it’s hard for many people to work with discipline but that doesn’t mean it has become impossible if you have the right attitude and know how to change some of your habits then overcoming laziness can be easier than you think!

Be clear on what you want! Have a clear vision of your goals and make sure they motivate you enough, only then will you be able to stay focused. Be patient and take things slowly no matter how much time or effort or practice it takes you to master your discipline.

Discipline involves self-control and following through with tasks even when there are other activities that will distract you from what needs to be done. If you want to create a positive habit you have to be disciplined from the very beginning or this habit won’t stick in your brain, and it won’t become a beneficial part of your daily routine.

Find a routine. One of the best ways to learn how to be disciplined is by following a routine, no matter if you’re an early riser or not it’s important that you’ve set a specific time for each activity so that you can always keep yourself organized and focused on what really matters, even when we’re talking about sleeping!

Reward yourself! Being kind and caring towards yourself will make sure that you have the right attitude in order for your new habit of being disciplined to stick and become a part of your lifestyle. Always reward yourself after finishing something important!

Establish Healthy Habits

In today’s world, the concept of healthy habits has changed dramatically from its original meaning which was simply taking care of one’s health and doing exercise regularly. It is extremely important that we understand what healthy habits are because they have become the foundation for success in our society.

A healthy habit is an activity that strengthens your mind in order to focus better, is healthy to the body and provides us with positivity. How to Practice Healthy Habits in order to Stay Healthy, Productive and Focused While Juggling Multiple Tasks? Here are 3 steps that will help you establish healthy habits:

1) Firstly, make a list of the healthy habits you would like to develop, and prioritize them according to your needs. 2) Pick one healthy habit from this list every 30 days and practice it for at least a week before moving on to another one. 3) In order for these habits to become part of your routine identify two times per day when you would not be interrupted by phone calls or other potential distractions. This can be the morning and afternoon. 3) By practicing these healthy habits you will unleash a huge amount of energy to accomplish your goals and create good habits that will help you achieve the highest level of cognitive function and productivity.

If you struggle to identify healthy habits, here are some recommended ones in order to stay healthy, productive and focused while juggling multiple tasks:

1) Wake up at the same time every day regardless if it’s a weekday or weekend. That way you will have more energy throughout the day without needing to take naps, which are bad for your health in general! Even better, wake up at least 20 minutes earlier than you usually do and go out for a brisk morning walk. You will feel more energized from the very beginning of your day!

2) Practice of Physical Exercise. Physical activity has a huge impact on our overall well-being. However, most people don’t practice regularly due to the fact that they are either too exhausted from work or simply don’t find the time for it.

3) Practice of Meditation. Meditation is something almost everyone knows about but only few people actually practice it in their daily life. Most people are afraid of it but those who have tried meditation realize the impact it has on their life and why they should include this activity into their daily routine. Meditation is healthy for your body because stress is a huge contributor to many health-related issues such as high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes.

4) Yoga Exercises. Yoga exercises will not only make you more flexible and strengthen your core muscles but will also reduce stress levels significantly by increasing oxygen intake and blood flow to the brain. In addition, yoga stretches your muscles and joints in order to avoid injuries.

Here is a recommended yoga exercise every day: Practice downward dog pose for at least 10 seconds. This exercise will help stretch your chest muscles and relax your spine after waking up early in the morning!

Also, yoga breathing exercises will be helpful in keeping your mind focused on daily tasks while enhancing memory power. These exercises will help you unlock your hidden potential by augmenting the amount of oxygen reaching your brain and other vital organs.

Here is how to perform a simple breathing exercise: Exhale deeply through the mouth to the count of 4 then hold your breath for the next 8 seconds before exhaling again through the nose from 5-10 seconds. Repeat this cycle at least 5 times in order to experience optimum results!

5) Practice of Reiki Healing. If you don’t know what Reiki is then let me explain it briefly to you. It’s a Japanese technique that involves the use of hands-on-healing by transferring energy from the therapist to the patient. This healing process has been studied thoroughly by scientists and is said to help in the treatment of various health-related issues such as depression, pain, stress, and much more. Reiki healing can be used for treating allergies, muscle soreness, and tension among many other conditions.

To conclude, learning how to multitask, or not at all, is an important skill for the digital age. With distractions around every corner and a growing number of tasks that need attention, it can be hard to stay on top of your work. But with these three steps you’ll have no problem staying present, focused and getting things done without sacrificing energy levels or productivity.
